The Resurrected Life – Living Victorious in Christ

Prayer Focus for April 28–May 2, 2025

Scripture

Romans 6:6–7 (ESV)

"We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing,
so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.
For one who has died has been set free from sin."

Devotion

The resurrection didn’t just forgive your sins—it broke the chains of sin’s power over you.

Before Christ, sin controlled us. Temptation ruled us. Shame marked us.
But when Jesus rose, He declared that sin’s reign was broken once and for all.

If you are in Christ, you are not fighting for freedom—you are fighting from freedom.
You don't have to bow to the same cycles of defeat anymore.
The Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is alive in you, giving you the power to say "no" to sin and "yes" to righteousness.

Today is a call to walk in that freedom.
Not out of fear. Not out of striving.
But out of the resurrection power that now defines your life.

Prayer Focus

  • Thank Jesus for crucifying your old nature on the cross.

  • Ask the Holy Spirit for fresh strength to walk free from any besetting sins.

  • Pray for others bound in shame and addiction—that they would encounter the risen Christ.

  • Intercede for Harvest Revival Center—to be a house of genuine holiness, freedom, and victory.

Declaration

Because Christ lives, I am no longer a slave to sin.
My past does not define me.
Today, I walk in the power of the resurrected Christ.
I am alive, I am free, and I am victorious.
