Victory in Our Identity

Scripture

Galatians 4:6–7 (ESV)

"And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba! Father!'
So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God."

Devotion

The resurrection didn’t just rescue us from death—it redefined our identity forever.

You are not defined by your failures.
Your achievements do not define you.
You are not even defined by the labels others have tried to put on you.

You are a son.
You are a daughter.
You are an heir of God.

Because Jesus rose, you have been adopted into the family of God with full rights as an heir—not just surviving, but thriving under His love and favor.

When you know your true identity, you stop striving for approval and start living from acceptance.
You don’t live trying to earn your place—you live from the place Jesus secured for you.

Today, stand firm in who you are:
Fully loved. Fully accepted. Fully victorious.

Prayer Focus

  • Thank God for adopting you through the finished work of Christ.

  • Ask the Holy Spirit to uproot every lie that says you are less than who He calls you to be.

  • Pray for believers to walk boldly in their identity, free from orphan thinking.

  • Intercede for the next generation—to rise up knowing they are heirs of the Kingdom, not captives of the culture.

Declaration

I am no longer a slave.
I am a son. I am a daughter.
I am an heir of God through Jesus Christ.
Today, I walk in my true identity—fully loved, fully accepted, fully victorious.
