Teaching in the Temple
Weekly Prayer Focus
"Fix our eyes on Jesus, the Lamb who was slain and the King who is risen. Teach us to walk in the power of the cross and the beauty of the resurrection."
Scripture
Matthew 22:37–40 (NLT)
"Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."
Devotion
Tuesday was a full day for Jesus—teaching, confronting, and challenging hearts.
He wasn’t giving surface-level devotionals. He was pressing into the deep things—hypocrisy, judgment, eternity, and the heart of true love.
In the middle of all His teachings, He summarized the entire law into one word: love. Love God first. Love others with that same fire.
Holy Week invites us to return to the heart of it all: relationship over religion.
Love over appearance.
Sacrifice over self-promotion.
As Jesus prepared to give everything for us, He called us to give everything to Him and for one another.
Prayer Focus
Ask the Lord to help you love Him with a whole heart—no distractions, no reservations.
Pray for a fresh love for others—even those who are hard to love.
Intercede for the Church to return to the simplicity and power of love-centered faith.
Ask God to make us students of His Word and reflectors of His truth.
Declaration
I fix my eyes on You, Jesus.
Teach me again what matters most.
Strip away performance, pride, and religious routine.
I want to love You first—and love others the way You loved me.
