Feeding Your Spirit

Scripture: Jeremiah 15:16 (ESV)

“Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts.”

Devotional Thought:

If you’re spiritually hungry, what are you feeding on?

Jeremiah said, “Your words were found, and I ate them…” That wasn’t just poetic—it was personal. He didn’t snack on a verse or skim a scroll. He consumed God’s Word until it changed him. It became his joy. It delighted his heart.

You can’t sustain spiritual hunger while feeding your soul junk. Social media won’t satisfy. Entertainment won’t nourish your spirit. News won’t fill the dry places.

If you’re hungry for more of God—His Word must become your bread. The Word reveals His nature. It awakens joy. It breaks deception. It satisfies your soul in ways nothing else can.

Feed your spirit today like your life depends on it—because it does.

Prayer Focus:

Lord, let me delight in Your Word again. Forgive me for letting the world’s noise replace Your voice. Make Your Word my joy, my strength, and my fuel.

Prayer Points:

  • Love for the Word: Awaken a hunger to read and love Scripture.

  • Disciplined Devotion: Give us grace to stay consistent, not casual.

  • Discernment in Our Diet: Help us turn from distractions and feed on what gives life.

  • Speaking the Word: Let Scripture shape our thoughts, prayers, and declarations.

  • Biblical Hunger in the Church: Raise up a generation rooted in truth, not trends.
