Victory in Obedience
Scripture
John 14:15–17 (ESV)
“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever,
even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him.
You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you.”
Devotion
The resurrected life doesn’t just bring us out of sin — it calls us into a lifestyle of obedience that pleases the heart of God.
Jesus said, “If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.”
Obedience is not about legalism; it’s about love.
When we know how much we've been forgiven and what we've been rescued from, obedience becomes our worship.
The power to obey doesn’t come from self-effort — it comes from the Helper, the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that He would send us the Spirit of truth, not only to guide us, but to live in us.
This means every believer has resurrection power available for real, daily obedience.
Obedience is how the resurrection becomes visible in our walk. It’s how we show the world we belong to Jesus — not just in belief, but in lifestyle.
