The Face Of God

How do I seek you oh Lord?

You who are higher than all creation.

The mountains rejoice at the sound of your name.

Living Waters flow with Majesty from the highest peaks.

What beauty lies in the vastness.

What wonders cover the Earth?

Even in the depths of the sea beauty awaits.

Creatures, large, and small show the richness of who you are.

But in all of this, there is no greater beauty than your eyes oh Lord.

Your face that radiates light, that shines with love beyond compare.

Oh, in that day when all is right, and you are there.

What will we see in your wonderful face?

The eyes of love will engulf us, the beauty of who you are will fill us .

Oh to see your wonderful face.

To delight in the awe of you.

For now, it is a vision a far off, but soon and very soon we will be before you.

Our dreams will be met, our eyes open, and we shall behold you.

What a glorious day that you have prepared for us.

But as we wait for your glorious appearing show us Lord God by opening our eyes.

May we see the heavens open up and pour over us?

May heaven touch earth as we seek your heart and soul.

May we be caught up in your beautiful presence, watching for more of you?

We cry, holy Lord, for you are the only true holy one.

Hear the cries of wounded hearts as they come close to your throne.

May they lift their eyes up into the hills of your glory?

So Lord God of Israel, founder and creator of all come and rest with us, may we feel your closeness, witness your power, and be transformed by your goodness.

May we see you face-to-face?
