Speak What God Says

Scripture

Ezekiel 37:4–5 (ESV)
"Then he said to me, 'Prophesy over these bones, and say to them, O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live.'"

Devotion

God didn’t tell Ezekiel to describe the dry bones — He told him to prophesy to them.

There are times in your life when simply speaking encouragement isn’t enough. You need to declare the Word of the Lord. That’s the essence of prophetic speech — not predicting the future, but releasing heaven’s perspective into earthly situations.

In Ezekiel 37, the prophet didn’t bring life through analysis — he brought life through declaration. As he spoke, the bones rattled, aligned, and were filled with breath.

🟠 1 Corinthians 14:3 (ESV)“The one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.”
🟠 Isaiah 55:11 (ESV)“So shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose…”
🟠 Job 22:28 (ESV)“You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways.”

Your words, when aligned with God's Word, carry resurrection power.
When you speak life over your family, your city, your church — you are not just offering hope. You are releasing the breath of heaven into dry places.

This is the power of prophetic speech: We don’t speak what we see — we speak what God says.

Prayer Focus

  • Father, train my tongue to echo what You are saying — not what fear or doubt say.

  • Fill my mouth with prophetic declaration — life, hope, restoration, and truth.

  • Teach me to speak to dry places with boldness and faith.

  • Let my words partner with heaven’s purpose — not the enemy’s accusations.

  • Today I speak to dry bones in my life, my city, and my church: Live!

  • I declare that the breath of God is filling what looked dead — and resurrection is coming.
