Day 1 — “Here I Am”

Scripture:

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’”
Isaiah 6:8 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:
Every move of God begins with a response. Before God sends, He asks. Before He commissions, He invites. The question has never been whether God is willing to work — the question has always been who is willing to go.

As we begin these 21 days of prayer and fasting, we are not starting with activity, plans, or ambition. We are starting with availability. Fasting quiets the flesh so we can hear the voice of the Lord clearly. Prayer positions our hearts to respond without conditions.

“Send me” is not a declaration of strength — it is a surrender of will. It is saying, “Lord, I am Yours before I know where You’re sending me.”

Today, we simply begin by offering ourselves to God.

Prayer Focus:

  • Ask the Lord to search your heart

  • Surrender control, comfort, and self-will

  • Pray for a willing and obedient spirit

  • Offer yourself to God again — fully and freely

Prayer:
“Lord, before You send me, prepare me. I lay down my will, my plans, and my comforts. I present myself to You again. Here I am. Send me.”
