Day 36: Make Us One

40 Days of Prayer & Fasting

Prayer Focus: Walking in Spirit-Filled Unity

“that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you.”
John 17:21 ESV

Yesterday our prayer was:

“Jesus, be strong in my weakness.”

Today the Lord invites us to take another step of faith.

Our prayer today is:

“Father, make us one.”

Unity Was Jesus’ Prayer

Before the cross, Jesus prayed for those who would believe through the disciples’ witness. He prayed that His people would be one. Biblical unity is not sameness of personality or preference; it is a shared surrender to Jesus and a shared life in His Spirit.

“that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you.”
John 17:21 ESV

Protect the Bond of Peace

Division grows through pride, suspicion, offense, and careless words. The Spirit teaches us to listen, forgive, honor, and speak truth in love. Unity must be guarded because our fellowship tells the world something about the gospel we proclaim.

Father, make us one.

One Heart for One Mission

When believers seek God together, personal agendas lose their grip. We remember that the harvest is greater than our preferences. God joins different gifts and generations into one body so that Jesus may be seen clearly.
