Captured By Your Presence

Lord God, I exalt you today.

You who called me into your family, who chose me when I was yet unknown.

Be lifted up today, be worshiped with whole hearts.

I magnify your name, the name that spoke and new things were born.

You who gave us a name who gave us life.

When we were yet sinners, you pursued us, capturing us into your holy net.

May we arise in your presence to a new day, a new beginning?

We who have been sealed by your Holy Spirit awaken to the sounds of your holy voice.

May you capture our hearts renewing our minds.

We who are called, chosen, sealed are your daughters, sons and friends.

May we not forget what you have done for us?

You who are perfect in all your ways bring us into your fortress.

Guide us into all humility.

Keep us from straying away from your path.

Cover us in your mighty wings.

Keep us from falling into dark places.

Oh how we need you sweet Lord.

How we depend upon your presence, your guidance to keep us in your delightful ways.

Even when we can’t see, you are there.

Holy is the name of Jesus, the Lord most high.

Holy is your spirit who moves in us, through us and around us.

Holy is your presence that brings the fear of the Lord.

Righteous are your ways and purity is all around you.

Come, lord, and capture us once more into the depths of your presence, where we may see you, encounter who you are.

Let us know you as we are known by you.
