Speak Life Over This Month

Proverbs 18:21 (ESV)
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.”

Devotional Thought:

As we step into a new month, we are reminded that seasons may change, but faith remains our posture. This is not a month we enter passively — it is a month we enter intentionally.

Scripture teaches us that words carry weight. What we speak shapes what we expect, and what we expect often shapes how we live. Too often, we allow pressure, past experiences, or uncertainty to dictate our language. But faith calls us to speak in agreement with God, not with fear.

Over the last season, God has dealt with our hearts. Now, He invites us to align our mouths. This month will be framed not by anxiety or reaction, but by faith-filled declaration. We speak life over our homes, our families, our health, our decisions, and our obedience.

Faith is not denial of reality — it is alignment with truth. And when we speak God’s truth consistently, our hearts and actions begin to follow.

Today, we set the tone for the days ahead by choosing words that reflect trust, hope, and expectation in God.

Prayer Focus:

  • Ask the Lord to align your words with His truth

  • Speak faith over the month ahead — personally and corporately

  • Renounce negative or fear-driven language

  • Declare trust in God’s guidance, provision, and timing

Prayer:

“Lord, today I choose to speak life. I align my words with Your truth and my heart with Your promises. I declare this month will be led by You, covered by You, and used for Your glory. Guard my mouth, strengthen my faith, and help me speak with confidence and trust. Amen.”
