Loving Others with God’s Love
Scripture: John 13:34–35 (ESV)
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Devotion:
From the very beginning, God’s design for humanity was rooted in connection. After establishing relationship with Himself and giving Adam identity, God said, “It is not good that man should be alone” (Genesis 2:18). We were never intended to walk in isolation. Our spiritual health is measured not just by how we worship God, but by how we treat those around us.
Jesus makes this clear in John 13. On the night He would be betrayed, He gave His disciples a new commandment—not simply to love in the way they understood, but to love as He had loved them. This was more than affection or kindness; it was sacrificial, covenantal love. Love that washed dirty feet, bore with imperfections, and laid down its life for the sake of others.
The reality is, our relationships with others are a direct reflection of our relationship with God. When His love fills us, it must overflow. Broken relationships, unforgiveness, and bitterness are not small matters—they are places where the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. But when we choose to walk in Christlike love, healing flows, unity grows, and the world sees a living testimony of Jesus.
Reflection Questions:
Where is God asking you to extend His kind of love today?
Are there broken places in your relationships that need healing through forgiveness?
How can you practically show love that reflects Jesus, not just words?
Prayer Focus:
Pray for God to heal and restore relationships in your life—within your family, church, friendships, or even past connections. Declare that Harvest Revival Center will be a community marked by Christlike love, where unity is our strength and forgiveness is freely given. Ask the Lord to make your love a visible testimony that points others to Him.
