Confidence in God’s Design
Scripture: Jeremiah 1:5 (ESV)
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.”
Devotion:
Purpose begins with identity. You can’t walk in what you don’t believe about yourself.
Jeremiah wrestled with insecurity, but God reminded him — “I knew you before I formed you.”
You are not a mistake, and your personality, gifts, and story are not random. God intentionally crafted you to reflect His glory in a specific way.
Growth begins when you stop comparing and start accepting who God made you to be. When you understand that your value was established before your success, you’ll stop trying to earn what’s already been given — His approval.
Reflection Questions:
What truth has God spoken about me that I’ve struggled to believe?
How do comparison or insecurity limit my purpose?
What would change if I walked confidently in who God made me?
Prayer Focus:
Ask God to heal every area of insecurity or comparison.
Thank Him for the unique way He formed you, and ask Him to help you grow into your true identity.
“Lord, thank You for designing me with purpose. Help me silence every lie of comparison and fear. I choose to embrace who You made me to be and grow in confidence, knowing I was created for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
