Faith for the Week Ahead | This Weekend at Harvest

Faith for the Week Ahead — The Weekend at Harvest, November 1, 2026. Open Bible and Harvest Revival Center logo.

Sunday gives us a place to gather. The days that follow give us opportunities to live out what we have heard. As Harvest begins a new week in Englewood, the November 1 messages leave us with two connected invitations: surrender our direction to Jesus and tend our devotion to Him every day.

In the morning, Go Forward, Part 4 brought us to Joshua’s encounter with the commander of the Lord’s army in Joshua 5:13–15. Before the next battle came a moment of worship and surrender. That gives us a question to carry into Monday: where do I need to listen before I move? A full calendar can make us quick to ask God to bless our plans. Prayer makes room for Him to shape those plans.

The evening’s Keep the Fire Burning message brought the focus to daily devotion. Leviticus 6:12–13 describes the ongoing care of the fire on the altar. For us, the invitation is to give our relationship with God steady attention through prayer, Scripture, obedience, and worship. A meaningful Sunday can become the beginning of faithful habits throughout the week.

A response we can practice this week

Begin each day with a few unhurried minutes in prayer and Scripture. Ask the Lord to show you one step of obedience, and make time to take it. That might mean repairing a strained relationship, setting aside a distraction, or serving someone whose need you have noticed.

Choose one person to encourage. Pray for them by name, check in with them, or invite them to join you at Harvest. As we continue serving Englewood, these ordinary acts of love matter. Our neighbors encounter the church through the people who carry its faith into their homes, workplaces, and conversations.

Before the week ends, return to these questions: What did I hear? How did I respond? What do I need to keep bringing before the Lord? Share the answer with someone who can pray with you. We grow as we walk together.

A prayer for our church

Lord Jesus, guide our steps this week. Teach us to listen, give us courage to obey, and help us remain faithful in prayer and Your Word. Fill us with love for our neighbors, and let our life together point people in Englewood to You. Amen.
