A Pastoral Update from Pastor Niel: 40 Days of Prayer & Fasting
Church family, I want to briefly clarify something I shared last week concerning Englewood. I recognize that my comments may have raised questions about what this means for our Brookville location and how Brookville and Englewood will fit into the direction ahead.
I do not want to get ahead of the process or communicate details before they are ready. I am currently working with our Senior Leadership Team to bring greater clarity and direction concerning Brookville, Englewood, and our next steps. We will share more with the congregation as that process develops.
In the meantime, I am asking us to remain prayerful, united, and open to what God is doing among us.
Beginning this Tuesday, September 15, we are entering 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting. We will gather by prayer call every morning at 6:00 a.m., and each week we will unite around a specific prayer focus.
Every Wednesday will be our shared churchwide day of fasting. You may fast from sunrise to sunset, fast one or more meals, or participate in another way that is appropriate for your health and circumstances. The purpose is to intentionally make room to seek God, listen for His direction, and pray for one another.
Our 40 days will run from September 15 through October 24. Then, on October 25, we will come together to celebrate eight years of God’s faithfulness at Harvest Revival Center and believe God for miracles and healing.
This is a time for us to seek God, care for one another, and prepare ourselves for the season ahead. I am asking every member of Harvest Revival Center to join us as we pray, fast, and move forward together in faith.
