21 Days of Prayer & Fasting

January 11 - 31

21 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Last year, we entered a season of prayer and fasting focused on preparing for the harvest. We prayed, believed, and aligned our hearts with what God desired to do. Scripture reminds us that the harvest is plentiful — and through prayer, God prepared the fields.

This year, the focus shifts.

If the harvest is ready, the question becomes: who will go?

Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.” The need is not the harvest — it is the availability of those willing to be sent. These 21 days are about positioning our hearts to respond to the call of the Lord with obedience and surrender.

Prayer and fasting prepare us not only to receive from God, but to be sent by Him. This season is an invitation to quiet distractions, realign our priorities, and respond with a willing heart that says, Here I am. Send me.

Practical Ways to Fast

As a church, we are committing to fast together, seeking the Lord with unity and purpose. While not everyone can fast the same way, the heart of fasting is the same — consecration, focus, and availability before God.

This year, our primary fast will be the Daniel Fast, as we set aside comforts and distractions to position our hearts to say, “Here I am. Send me.”

Below are practical ways to participate:

Daniel Fast (Corporate Focus):
Abstain from meats, sweets, and processed foods. Focus on vegetables, fruits, whole foods, and water as we fast together as a church family.

One Meal a Day:
Eat one simple meal daily and dedicate the time you would normally spend eating to prayer and Scripture.

Eliminate Sugar or Caffeine:
Choose to deny specific cravings such as sugar, soda, or caffeine as a spiritual discipline.

Water-Only Fast:
Abstain from all food and drink only water. Please use wisdom and consult a medical professional if necessary.

During these 21 days, let your focus remain on seeking the Lord, listening for His voice, and aligning your life with His purposes. Fasting is not about restriction, but about readiness — positioning ourselves to respond when God calls.

A 21-Day Journey of Prayer, Fasting, and Surrender

During these 21 days, we will walk through a intentional journey of prayer and fasting centered on our response to the Lord’s call: “Send Me.”

Rather than listing each day’s focus here, daily prayer themes and Scriptures will be shared and covered during our morning prayer call. This allows us to move together as a church family, responding in real time to what the Holy Spirit is emphasizing each day.

Our Direction

This journey is shaped around the biblical call to deny the flesh and align our lives with the will of God:

“For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.”
1 John 2:16

Throughout the fast, our prayer focus will intentionally address:

  • Denying the lust of the flesh — surrendering appetites, comforts, and sinful patterns

  • Denying the lust of the eyes — purifying our focus, vision, and desires

  • Denying the pride of life — humbling ourselves in obedience and availability

As these areas are surrendered, we position ourselves to respond fully to the Lord with a willing heart that says, “Here I am. Send me.”
